What is NPS?
An NPS calculator projects your corpus at retirement (age 60) and the monthly pension you'd get after buying an annuity with at least 40% of the corpus.
Formula
Corpus grows as a monthly SIP at your chosen return rate. At 60, at least 40% is used to buy an annuity, rest is lump sum.
Worked example

₹5,000/month for 25 years at 10% grows to ~₹67 lakh. Buying a 40% annuity at 6% gives a monthly pension of ~₹13,400, plus a ~₹40 lakh lump sum.
